What are Scrip funds used for?In the past Scrip has been used for:
These are just a few examples of what Scrip funds have been able to do for the parish. Every time you use Scrip you are gifting to the parish. |
SCRIP
Scrip is on sale each weekend
before and after Masses, and in the School Office, Monday through Friday
during the school day. Scrip is a parish-wide fundraising effort. Simply buy a gift card or certificate for your favorite restaurant, department store, retailer or grocery store, use the card or certificate and the establishment donates a percentage of your purchase back to the parish. The donated percentage ranges from 2% to 25 % depending on the merchant. Scrip is on sale before & after Masses on the weekends or available in the nurse's office during school hours. Using Scrip is a great way to help support your parish. Did you know?Scrip has been in existence for over 10 years at Prince of Peace and raises approximately $25,000 to $30,000 annually. 300 families generated $27,000 for the parish in 2003 by simply purchasing Scrip gift cards. This is an average of $90 per family. Imagine what the parish could receive in donated funds if more families would use Scrip. The potential is there to raise anywhere from $50,000 to $100,000 annually with an increase in the number of families using Scrip. Did you know you can pay your Kohl's or Penney's charge accounts with Scrip gift cards? Simply purchase either Kohl's or Penney's gift cards from Scrip and use them to pay your bill. Not only are you paying your account but helping the parish at the same time. Scrip cards make great gifts for birthdays, holidays,
teachers or any occasion. It is easy just stop by the Scrip
table before or after Mass on the weekends to get your Scrip.
