Senior High Activities
All students entering 9th – 12th grade in August 2010 and
the 2010 high school graduates are invited to attend our
Summer Activities. Grab a friend and join us as we have fun
getting to know each other and grow closer to Christ by
playing, working and studying together this summer.
Summer Tuesday Events:
June 29 – Picnic at Blackbob Park
Meet at the shelter in Blackbob Park by the playground, at
151st Street between Blackbob and Pflumm, from 6:30–9:00
pm. Bring a favorite side dish or desert to share.
E-mail Phyllis if you have a team for Dodgeball.
July 6 – Mission Bowl 'N' Olathe
Meet us at the bowling alley, 1020 S. Weaver in Olathe at
6:55
pm. For only $10.00 unlimited bowling for 2 hours;
shoe rental included. Come bring your friends for a
‘striking’ good time. Download the form on the left hand
side. Pick up at 9:00
pm.
Thursday Night Bible Study:
Join us for Bible Study on Thursday evenings between 7:30
and 8:45
pm. Everyone will gather in the Youth Room. There
will be two different studies; one for the guys and one for
the gals.
Other Events
July 15–18, 2010 - Steubenville St. Louis High School
Youth Conference
A Steubenville High School Youth Conference is a resource
that addresses the needs of today's Catholic youth. The
conferences will challenge the youth to stand firm in their
faith, rely upon the awesome power of Jesus Christ who is
their guide, friend, and Savior, and to show that faith to
the world. We will attend the conference held at Missouri
State University Springfield campus.
July 24 – Harvesters – Volunteer Day
P.O.P. Youth Ministries along with the Social Concerns
committee are sponsoring a volunteer day at Harvesters. This
is a great opportunity for families and other groups to
learn about one of our area’s largest community food
networks and provide a much needed service. RSVP is
requested as there are a limited number of spaces available.
We will meet at Harvesters at 8:55
am, receive a tour of the facility and they work in
the Outreach Center sorting and packaging food and household
products.
