Prince of Peace Parish Announcements
Church
Renovation Update
The renovations to the Church are now complete! We are very
excited with the upgrades and appreciate all the positive
feedback we have received.
As we work to pay for this project, we thank parish families
who continue to pledge, and who have sent in monies supporting
the Renovation Fund Drive! Please remember to use the 'Church
Renovation Fund' envelope that is included in your monthly
envelope packet.
We have been blessed with a wonderful response to this campaign
— we encourage you to keep those pledge cards and monies coming
in! Extra cards are still available in the Gathering Area for
families wanting to make a pledge. Completed cards can be
returned to the Parish Office by mail, or put in the collection
basket at Masses.
As always, we are blessed and thankful to you our parishioners
for your continued support of our Parish. If you have any
questions, please call the Parish Office, at 913-782-8864.

RCIA Program News
- Have you ever wondered how Catholics relate to Mary and
the saints?
- Are you curious about the differences between Catholic
and Protestant beliefs?
- Have you been coming to Church and want to learn more
about the Mass and the Sacraments?
- Are you a non-catholic raising your children Catholic
and want to learn more about the faith?
The Prince of Peace RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for
Adults) process will soon begin a new journey in faith to share
the richness of the Catholic Church and our parish family. These
sessions are an opportunity for you, and others that you may
wish to invite, to ask questions you may have about the Catholic
Church. These gatherings are for inquirers and are open to
people who are unbaptized, as well as those who are baptized
Christian from Protestant or Evangelical backgrounds.
We invite you to learn what the Church teaches and its beliefs.
For more information about the RCIA process, please call Martha

THE SCRIP PROGRAM NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!
For the Scrip Program to continue to be a viable entity and
continue to raise funds for Church upgrades – such as the new
flooring in the Sanctuary, we need YOUR help.
- We need 2 team captains to sell Scrip once every 10
weeks.
- We need someone to help reconcile once every 4 weeks.
Every parishioner benefits from this worthy program and
should be involved in some way.
The viability of any program is the involvement of the people
who benefit the most from it. THIS IS YOU!
If you wish to learn more, or have questions about the Scrip
Program, please contact me at 816-942-4444 or e-mail
cledmunds@prodigy.net.

Family Adoration
Family Adoration is the
second and fourth Thursday of the month, from 3:15 – 3:45/4:00
pm in the
Adoration Chapel. This time is spent
praying the rosary, singing, reading from the Bible, saying
traditional prayers with some time spent in silence. It is
recommended for ages 5 to 95. The prayer time is led by an
adult, so if you have never participated in Adoration, you can
learn at this time. We would like to invite your family to spend
some extra time with Jesus. For more information, please contact
Lisa Cunningham, at 913-764-8221 or email
steve.lisa@sbcglobal.net.
