What does it mean to be an American?

The goal of this project is to answer the research question. There are several steps of research.

The first part is to research a state. You will find out a lot of basic facts about the state. You will also find out what the people of that state identify with.

The second part of the research you will go to the U.S. Citizenship website and list the Naturalization requirements. Naturalization means to grant full citizenship.

In the third part of the research you will review some historical documents and some articles that have been recently published. You will determine how historical figures would have answered our research question. Then you will try to figure out how some people today would answer this question.

After you complete the research, you will choose a project that you will use to showcase your research.
